Hamburg: Art is Back
Good news for Hamburg! The Hamburger Kunsthalle finally reopens after reconstruction and thousands of visitors can enjoy its magnificent collection. In order to celebrate this occasion one of the main German art museums offered a free entrance for the whole May to anybody who is interested. I also decided to take this opportunity and again visit this historical place.
Three buildings connected to each other form an unbelievable ansamble of 700 years of art, history, creativity and pleasure. First founded in 1950 the museum focuses on the international and modern art, German and French paintings of the 19th century, Italian, Flemish and Dutch artists of the 16th and 17th centuries as well as North German paintings of the 14th century.
Newly refurbirshed halls full of people amaze by the variety of art collections. Here you can find the artworks by Edgar Gedas, Claude Monet, Auguste Roudin, Francis Bacon, Paul Klee, Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso and many other world famous artists encouraging new generations for taking further steps towards creativity and art.
